Currently , people our age affect them much greater extent topics related to education than those who have to do , for example, fishing or agriculture. One of these examples is the subject of scholarships Erasmus , Erasmus + now , which came into force on January 1, 2014 . Was recently made a little side issue , compared to the controversy sparked some months ago, and we intend to explain here their basic features.

Erasmus Plus combines all the existing systems of EU funding in the areas of education, training , youth and sport ( yes, now also sport)
Lifelong learning programs (Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig)
Youth in Action
International cooperation programs (Erasmus Mundus , Tempus , Alfa , Edulink )
Program for cooperation with industrialized countries
Erasmus + includes, for the first time, measures to support the sport. A specific budget line will receive about 265 million euros from 2014 to 2020 , in order to help develop the European dimension in sport , fighting against doping, match-fixing , violence ... and promote voluntary activities in sport, among many scholarships cosas.Estas now become international , offering mobility both intra - European and extra- European .

One of the most important changes in this program is that the grant of European funds for European mobility is doubled or even tripled in some cases , from 115 € to 200 € to 300 € , depending on the standard of living of the country target . All this is to pay expenses in regard to tuition fees and other , along with a support for accommodation, food and travel. In any case these scholarships cover the total costs .

Similarly, those who want it (and who are selected by their universities ) can access the so-called " zero- grant " , thanks to which they will not have to pay tuition fees , although the handling , travel and accommodation.

Another very important change is the increase in mobility , from a maximum of two ( research and practice ) to a much higher number , now distributed in three cycles of studies. You can request money for various mobilities up to 12 months for each course of study . So this is somewhat confusing , so we put an example: in the first cycle (which is 12 months) , I can ask and get up to two mobilities of 4-5 months each, and a third of practices ( from 2 -3 months ) that would already seen 12 months . The next course could reorder the mobilities , and the next too. Despite these stockings months (based on financial aid ) , these placements are flexible and can be extended , financed by public or private sources (CCAA , banks , the beneficiary of the scholarship itself ...) and it is noteworthy students now receive much more money, about 1250 € for 5 months compared to € 950 for 8 months that were given before.

For more information on Erasmus + , you can consult both OAPEE page ( autonomous body of European educational programs ) and the European Commission (in English) , which are explained more in detail all aspects :
